"We run, we ride, we train, and we want to help you get back to your active life."

– Dr. Tommer Arbuckle, DC, CCSP

Dr. Arbuckle received his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, CA, and continued his post-graduate education to become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. Dr. Arbuckle strives to maintain integrity, passion, and commitment with each patient he works with, allowing them to achieve their goals of optimal performance; he is committed to maintaining a standard of care that utilizes the most up-to-date and effective techniques.

Dr. Arbuckle has extensive training and knowledge in treating injuries involving the musculoskeletal system and specializes in Active Release Technique (ART) and HansOn Muscle Therapy (HMT). Fortunate to have trained under the founders of both specialties, Dr. Arbuckle is Masters Level certified; in addition, he is proficient with Diversified Chiropractic adjustments and Cox Technic. Looking at the body as a kinetic chain, and taking into account one’s biomechanics through functional movement assessments, Dr. Arbuckle enables his patients to maintain active lifestyles and achieve ideal performance based on individual need versus a one-fits-all diagnosis and treatment application.

While in San Jose, Dr. Arbuckle was able to work directly with professional athletes associated with the following teams and organizations: San Francisco 49ers, UFC/Strikeforce, American Kickboxing Academy, San Jose Sabercats, Stanford Nike Farm Team, and US Olympic medalists (marathon, track, triathlon, boxing, and weightlifting). He has also acted as attending physician at the Ironman World Championships in Kona, HI, providing ART to participating triathletes.

Dr. Arbuckle moved to Austin in 2008 and enjoys spending his free time training with Gilbert’s Gazelles running group and relaxing in the laid-back Austin scene.

That moment Dr. Jill Thomson carried a 100lb sand bag while wearing a 25lb weighted vest.

A native of Toronto, Canada, Dr. Thomson received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. Upon graduation, she moved to Tennessee and completed her Master of Science in Exercise Physiology. She then moved to California to work at Stanford University in the School of Medicine before attending Palmer College of Chiropractic West. She graduated magna cum laude in December of 2006 and practiced in San Jose, California while completing a post-doctorate degree as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner. Dr. Thomson moved to Austin in 2009 and specializes in diversified adjusting, Cox Technic, Active Release Technique (ART) and HansOn Muscle Therapy (HMT).

She is a former competitive figure skater, a two sport college varsity athlete, and All Canadian in both figure skating and rugby. She has experience treating highly trained athletes, such as the San Jose Sharks, Canadian National Figure Skaters, University of Texas athletes, and world class Ironman athletes. In addition, Dr. Thomson is currently the ART specialist for University of Texas women’s athletics.

Dr. Thomson’s educational background allows her to take a biomechanical and physiological approach when evaluating each patient. She believes that each patient brings new challenges, and no two cases are treated the same. “Chiropractic care is unique because it gets to the root of the problem as opposed to chasing symptoms.” explains Dr. Thomson, “I am a firm believer that the entire musculoskeletal system must be addressed in order to restore proper function to the body.”

Her experience in the competitive world and the love of sports gives her the compassion and drive to keep her patients moving. Dr. Thomson not only enables patients to get back to their sport faster, but also helps them improve their athletic performance.

Dr. Thomson appreciates the vibrant exercise culture Austin has to offer. In her spare time she enjoys her workouts at Pure Austin, running at Lady BirdLake, and her spa days at Viva Day Spa. She will never turn down a ski vacation and enjoys hitting the slopes.
